Our Story

A Legacy of Family, Food & Community

For generations, Palombo’s has been a place where families gather, friendships grow, and everyone feels at home. Our story began long before Palombo’s—dating back to the historic Zimber Inn, a beloved gathering place in the Marchand area.

In 1979, Tony Palombo purchased the Zimber Inn and made it Palombo’s. Alongside his wife, Beverly, and their children, Tony poured his heart into rebuilding and updating the restaurant, creating the foundation for the Palombo’s our community knows today.

Their sons, Rick and Mark Palombo, eventually took over the restaurant and carried that legacy forward. Their dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the family business helped Palombo’s grow while staying true to what mattered most: good food, genuine hospitality, and bringing people together.

Today, that tradition continues with Amanda, who has been part of the Palombo’s family since she was just 14 years old. Starting as a host, Amanda worked her way through every aspect of the restaurant, from the front and back of the house to behind-the-scenes operations. What began as a teenage job became a lifelong passion—and ultimately, ownership of the restaurant she grew up loving.

Amanda’s connection to Palombo’s runs deep. Her father, Anthony “AJ” Diano, was a close friend of Rick Palombo, who once told him, “She’s going to run this place someday.” Years later, that prediction came true.

Today, Amanda is honored to carry forward the legacy of Tony, Beverly, Rick, and Mark, as well as the many longtime employees who have played such an important role in making Palombo’s what it is today.

Born and raised in North Canton, Amanda is proud to now be raising her three children, Ryder, Addelyn, and Emmett, in Jackson Township with her husband, Ryan, who plays an active role in the business and is an important part of its continued success.

Together, Amanda and Ryan remain deeply committed to giving back to the communities that have supported Palombo’s for generations. They continue to volunteer, support local organizations, and stay actively involved in both the North Canton and Jackson Township communities.

While the faces may change, the heart of Palombo’s remains the same: family, tradition, great food, and a place where everyone feels at home.
